Hazel replied to the topic Baby bunny becoming antisocial in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 5 months ago
She’s just growing up. šĀ Baby bunnies are usually pretty chill and happy to be handled. Adults not so much. Even once she’s been spayed she most likely won’t go back to being as cuddly as she has been as a baby, but that’s completely normal for an adult rabbit.

Thank you both for the advice and support. Yes, the drops are specifically unflavored infant simethicone. Iām starting to wonder if maybe last time they were flavored which might explain why she liked them so much back then. I have not tried a pellet mash yet, i will make one of those today. And yes I will get my hands on some critical care for f…[Read more]

Just to be clear, in general, these forums don’t recommend walking rabbits on a leash. That said, I do walk my rabbit on a leash now and then, because he clearly enjoys it, and wasĀ harness-trained in his first home, long before he came to me. He is a remarkably un-skittish rabbit. We only walk in fenced-in gardens, where there’s no risk of…[Read more]

<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>I have a rabbit that enjoys going outside. Right now I’m using an H style cat harness but it’s kinda hard to get it off so I’m looking at different options to try. I was interested in try an agility shoulder harness but can’t find one online.Ā I’ve also tied the traditional vest style harness but she didn’t like it.…[Read more]

I hope so too, because hay is obviously the best food for him. If you have access to pesticide-free fresh grass, that’s a decent substitute. Cat grass is good of course, but probably difficult to grow in more substantial quantities.
I’d keep giving the gas drops because they cant hurt. You could also try a probiotic (benebac for example), if you…[Read more]

So after two weeks from declaring them bonded… Theo and Alfredo suddenly had a fight one night! šĀ We woke up and went to their room one morning and there was fur everywhere. Thank you Bam. The Ovol Simethicone seemed to help last night, this morning there were some solid, dryer poops in his pen. Weāre running out of the Ovol so we got this brand. Thank you for the dosing info.
We are trying to get him used to greens and trying to make sure he knows that hay is food. Heās been leaving tiny poops, cecotropes, cec…[Read more]

I have used that brand of gasdrops with my buns. I cant get it here, so I’ve asked people to buy it for me when they travel to the UK 😃 (Sadly noone travels these days, of course).
My buns have all liked the taste and been willing to eat it on a piece of veg. The kind I can get here tastes fine to me, but buns hate it.
Give about 1 ml per hour…[Read more]

Is this brand of Simethicone safe for bunnies? Itās for the new bunny, he weighs around 9-10lbs. Heās been having loud gurgling belly noises lately. He still isnāt a fan of hay yet but he likes some greens. We still feed him critical care 3 times a day. We also give him cat grass and he will eat that too. -
Bam replied to the topic Rabbit's ears changing colour/pattern in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 5 months ago
Your bun has a lovely color!
Unless the skin under the fur spots is compromised in some way, color changes are not associated with any sort of health problem. Rabbits don’t have continuous hair growth like we do, and their hairs can be banded in more than one color. The wool is also different in color from the outer hairs, unless its an all white…[Read more]

Thank you. I posted this on another bunny page and one of the the members said that it was the lotion.
