I understood what you told. My baby is too small. 😐😐 I think according to the situation after 1 year old. The list doesn’t help me, because i live in Turkey. Now you understand why I’m afraid of veterinarians.😐

That’s a good point you make Hazel, rabbits can still go wildly hormonal later in life!

Our bunny Breintje used to live in my boyfriend’s room on campus, and my boyfriend never noticed humping and spraying behaviours.

Breintje was 2,5 years old when he came to my house, and that sweet playful bunny turned into a raging sex offender who peed…[Read more]

I remember you. Didnt you have a lionhead bunny at one time?  Sorry to hear about your dad. My condolences. Thats great you can take mr bit. Your dad would be so proud of you and thrilled you did that. Glad to hear he is working out with the leash you made. You have had good responses on dog training videos. That so helpful. You take care now.…[Read more]

@DanaNM: yes, I’m really honoured that he grooms me like that. The vet also noticed that he’s a very kissy bunny. We’ve put Breintje on grain-free pellets to make sure he doesn’t set off my allergy by licking my face. It also improved his digestion: we have fewer sticky poops now that he gets less carbs.

The formula you mentioned sounds…[Read more]

I’ve never heard of Readigrass so I looked it up. It seems like it would be fine to feed to both of your bunnies. You could mix it in with regular hay too so there is variety for your other bunny.

I think exposure to skin is important in how the rabbit will react. Wick only grooms skin. He will never groom fur or fabric aside from his own body. With that, he also will never lounge in contact with me unless it’s against skin — I always figured it was because he doesn’t register non skin surfaces to actually be me.

Fable on the other hand…[Read more]

Hi, I wanted to share something I learned while giving Breintje massages: he responds very differently when I massage him with my sleeves rolled up. He gets calm and sleepy when he has skin contact, a lot more than when he touches clothing.

Late at night we often sit on the sofa together, and Breintje sleeps next to me while I read a book or do…[Read more]

    Elie The skating sounds wild.

Ellie The Tunisian crochet looks good.   Bam the braided looking one too. Nice.

I can’t figure out how to make the photos small enough to post.  I have painted a bunny house with bunnies. One fixings roof. Momma bun sweeping with baby hanging on her skirt.  The sign on their house says bunnyville. I said wow my bin…[Read more]

@Wick that is a good point! I will have to find some cardboard to line the bottom. Do you think it needs to have borders on the edges as well? I did for my bun who passed as he peed on the fleece liner so it was a barrier so he didn’t spray out. This bun is potty trained though so I’m not sure if the borders on the sides are needed or just a firm base.

Ah good to know @DanaNM ! My room is carpeted but I’m not against having no bottom and just the top and sides of possible! If it’s not possible due to carpet, I’ll have to look into something to line the cage with. I was hoping to avoid the coroplast again but perhaps I can use cardboard?

There is something called a split male where the penis did not fully close. It can make it resemble a girl down there.

I get that. 🙂  They shouldn’t be put through unnecessary surgeries. And your bun sounds to be well behaved as far as hormonal behaviors are concerned, apart from the marking. Most rabbits will act a lot more hormonal until they’re fixed. Often the urge to mate can become a major stressor for them, which is a good reason to get them fixed for…[Read more]

Yes what you are feeling is normal.  I had a dream in august that someone I loved very much passed. I woke up literally crying  during and after the dream.  I felt that it was Cotton that was gone in my dream. I started noticing little  Boo was slowing down. I just felt his time was soon. Then his hindquarters were falling over. Off to the vet we…[Read more]

I imagine intersex is probably more accurate for this case as well, but not sure what term vets use the most. Truly hermaphroditic animal species are that way as a rule (many invertebrates, and quite a few types of fish are sequential hermaphrodites, meaning they are one sex first and then they switch, which is super interesting).

I would recommend a bottom on the grids. The squares are quite large, so if there’s no solid base on top, you risk your rabbit getting caught and harming itself. A fleece liner is not structured enough to establish that flooring.

You could use a solid cardboard and put the liner on top.
