That figures! She did it while running off, but I was already coming towards them since she had been acting suspicious so couldn’t tell if she was mad or still in mounting mode. The buzz was something my bridge bun Elmer used to do when he was courting me before his neuter lol. My other buns don’t make that noise! It’s funny how different buns…[Read more]

Bunnies can be weird sometimes. Assuming there is nothing medically wrong, she may just be feeling secure in her pen. She knows the door is open and she can come out whenever she wants, but she prefers the pen. This isn’t unusual, especially if there have been changes around the house. I agree with Dana. Sometimes closing the door makes coming out…[Read more]

What does a buzz sound with a tail wag mean?

It would be good to have her checked out by a vet to make sure there is nothing medical going on. Is she spayed?
It is somewhat normal for buns to become less active as they grow up, but it sounds like this is a pretty dramatic shift.
A couple thoughts, one funny thing I’ve noticed is that when I’ve left my buns pens open 24/7 they actually…[Read more]

Hi, I have a rabbit and her name is Rory, we got her when she was just a baby and she is one and a half.
Most of the time she is running up and down, doing binkies and zoomies and flopping all around the house, but recently, (this has happened before) she’s just staying in her pen, although it is always open when I’m awake/ around. I’ve tried…[Read more]

So after 5 hours with them today, it feels like they are 98% or so bonded. The biggest problem is still Pancake trying to mount occasionally. It seems like she’ll try a few times in a short window, but most of the session she is fine. (although, I’ve been doing afternoons so could get worse if different time) Today, there was a mix of sleeping…[Read more]

I’ve had really good luck bonding in larger spaces (like 2 x-pens linked up). Since you’ve already tried smaller spaces I think it’s worth a shot to just try the larger space from the get go. But a space the size of an x-pen can work too. I have also routinely taken buns for sleep overs at friend’s houses when I’ve run out of neutral space…[Read more]

Thank you! How big of space would you recommend for the bonding sessions? I have time. I stay at home. So time is not an issue luckily. Should I start with big space and not do the small? The permanent home I had them in when I thought they were bonded was about 9.5 feet by 4.5 feet. That’s where they stayed unsupervised and I let them out t…[Read more]
