Yes, I have 2 large cloth pads down with hay for toilet areas, and they do tend to overlap when they eat and have no problem with sharing. They can be touching etc while there no problem. So, this is tricky but I think I would keep monitoring, and you are likely OK to leave them alone during the times of day when you know they aren’t as active. Yes it has! Well they were barely awake this morning then have been crashed out all day. Nice that I could work and stuff without worrying or being distracted. Silvadene is an antibacterial creme that I’ve used to soothe syphilis/fungal related skin irritation. It is used on humans for burns. Perhaps this is something to discuss?

Thanks for the update, sounds like a much better setup!  I agree things have likely been peaceful due to the fact that she is still a baby, along with the hormones.

FYI: Chai also needs to be spayed and given a few weeks for hormones to settle before bonding. Even once Frankie is neutered her hormones will still cause issues.

It has really been quite the rollercoaster with these two!

Overnight in the living room went well! We still aren’t back to flopping together or anything, but they laid together some again, hung out a lot, lots of running around together in a good way, etc. I didn’t see anything negative. Flooring is really tricky for buns! I have a few “diggers”. What I ended up with is foam mats covered by a sheet of vinyl flooring, and then fleece blankets on top. Unfortunately couch and bed peeing are a common problem. 🙁  Since you can’t block off the couch, I think your best bet is to get a water-proof couch blanket or protector.
