Ya’ know those little compressed hay balls/disks?
Are those as good as loose hay?
Both Walter and Boo don’t eat as much hay as is I’d like, though they do eat some.
They seem to like the Rosewood Naturals compressed Meadow hay.

BZOO started the topic Best ways for me to bond with new bun? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 3 months ago
The shelter had named my new bun Bunny Boop…nope!
I’m calling her Boo, unless something else comes along.
She’s currently in a dog crate next to Walter and for a few hours of the day, I put him up in his cage and put her in the x pen. I’m also sharing some “smells” between litter boxes.
They are very interested in one another.
So, as for…[Read more]

My fuzzy little runt. How could I not expect my heart to hurt this much? -

Not a good hay eater but sure could put away the fresh grass. -

I’m working on his burial box, I hope this is not too gruesome to share. It still needs a banana to have all his favorite things.

Potter_Boys started the topic How to get two brothers to rebond after they started to fight? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 3 months ago
I’ve got two five-year-old rabbits who I’ve had since their birth, both neutered, but about a year ago they began to fight after moving into a new cage. We took them to the vet and got a clean bill of health so I know that there is no medical reasons for their fighting, but I just can’t get them to rebond. I’ve done so much research on trying to…[Read more]

Thanks so much, I appreciate it! Yes, we might be there, and/or he might just be getting forgetful. I don’t want to restrict his space, so I’ll keep working on it. Traditionally we always split his daily 2 Tbsp of pellets into 4 tiny piles in specific spots in his room. These days, I kind of just keep moving more pellets into the piles clo…[Read more]

I vacuum almost daily, neither bunnies lived in here prior. Only my first bunny lived in here but it was almost 3 month before these guys got moved in. I haven’t rearranged anything since they lived in here. They will sit together and eat no issue, they will sit in the same house no issue but whenever I spend time with them I catch them having…[Read more]

I can’t think of anything I’ve done different, I visited new friends yesterday but that wouldn’t explain his behaviour the day before or yesterday, I’ve not changed his food or gone anywhere so I cant think of an explanation, unless he’s upset I’ve cleaned out his hutch but I do that often and he’s never seemed upset about that before, he se…[Read more]

It is good that he seems fine– that being said, it is not uncommon for a rabbit to suddenly act out when not feeling well. My rabbit had broken one of his fingers a while back and he acted completely normally (eating, pooping, energy…) the entire time, despite the fact that he literally had a broken bone. I would be observant if there is…[Read more]

I have a male rabbit, he’s about four years old and has always been closest bonded to me. He comes over for cuddles and head scratches, nudging for attention and always accepting food and being picked up. He seemed odd yesterday when I went to pick him up to bring him to my room when he was thumping and staying away, I backed up but picked him u…[Read more]
