All great advice, as always, I’ll take it all on board. We’ll keep them separate and take our time. My boyfriend wants to get back to bonding now but I hear you, and we will wait and really consider what is best for everyone involved.
I am a little concerned about Phil, she seems quite subdued today and off her food but if the bond is broken,…[Read more]

Thank you! Of course I’m getting contacted back by all the rescues I’ve applied to at the same time haha 😅
Instead of starting another thread, I wonder if I can ask a question on here: what carrier is best for two bunnies? There’s mixed advice on whether they should come home together in the same carrier or different carriers. Either way, I want…[Read more]

I’m that other member currently dealing with a bun with cecal dysbiosis… *sighs*
My bun was actually not fond of mint until she tried it a couple of times. She absolutely loves it now. Maybe just give Baylor some time to get used to it, and keep being patient with him. It’s really no big deal if he never likes it, since treats aren’t the…[Read more]

You are welcome! I’m sorry you are going through such a stressful situation with them. I would trust your gut. If you are thinking it’s not going to work, then go with that. I know it’s such a hard situation, and I’m sure you will come to a conclusion that is best for everyone, but for now I would take it one step a time.
Two particular rabbits…[Read more]

Awww, bummer! But happy she got a home!
It can be a bit overwhelming with some rescues, but usually they just want to make sure you have appropriate housing and know about rabbit care (and will help you to get things in order if you don’t… which you do!), so don’t stress!

It could be. You just never know with bunnies sometimes! Now just watch him closely to see if it happens again. If it keeps appearing, then you should have a vet check it out. But yes, a nasal discharge would generally be around the nostrils. So it seems reasonable to assume this may be something else.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Pasteurellosis in rabbit in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
Totally agree with Wick. Pasteurella is not the only cause of URIs in rabbits. The good news is that Baytril is a broad-spectrum bacteria that should take care of the problem regardless. If whatever it is happens to be resistant, then don’t give up. There are other antibiotics that can be tried. And yes, treatment often needs to last longer than…[Read more]

Pasteurella is one of many types of bacteria which can cause a URI (upper respiratory infection) in rabbits. Many URIs are very much treatable because we have access to antibiotics that will kill the culprit. Yes, pasteurella can sometimes be chronic, but again, not every sneezing rabbit is linked back to that particular bacteria and can be…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Won’t eat fresh fruits in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 2 months ago
As long as it’s not a medical-related reason that needs to be addressed, I think it’s fine for a rabbit to be hesitant or avoidant of particular foods given they have a well-rounded diet without it. For example, one of my rabbits, Fable, is highly suspicious of any new food, so it is hard to get variety for her. She often overlooks food, but I’m…[Read more]

He has discharge in he’s eyes and sneezing a lot but pooping, eating and other is all normal. I just want to know if s…[Read more]
