They are beautiful and so cute!
I think the fact you had some very good times with them is promising. All of this could have been set off by illness as well. I wish they could just tell us what’s going on in those little bunny brains!
Do keep an eye on Phil. If she seems very depressed then maybe side-by-side housing (without swapping) would be…[Read more]

I took him to the vet yesterday, no sign of ear mites or anything. I feel like he is just tossing around lol, he only does it like three times and stops

How long have you had her? Sometimes it can take new bunnies a little while to get organized. You can try removing the tray and then seeing what corner she naturally chooses for her toilet area, then add the tray there. Bunnies are very scent and touch (whiskers) oriented when things are close, so she they usually arent using their eyes as much as…[Read more]

Could he have an itchy ear? Any signs of ear mites?
One of my bunnies will often flop a few times before finally getting comfy (I can relate… I always toss and turn a bit before falling asleep).

Sometimes if a bun has gas, it can have difficulty finding a comfortable position. You can sometimes see how it presses its belly against the floor -it looks rather like when a person tries to do a push up but fails to keep the back straight.
Gas can be treated on suspicion with 0.5-1 ml simethicone baby gas drops, once per hour for 3 hours, then…[Read more]

So um currently is 3pm where I from, and usually my rabbit sleeps at that times. So I’m kinda just monitoring him for a few minutes, but I noticed that every time he’s flops for like 6 minutes or something. He gets all of sudden and starting grooming himself, itching his ears, than he flops again, gets up again grooms and flops again is like a pat…[Read more]

I’m glad you’ll get to do the fecal float locally! So much less hassle!

Antibiotic costs can vary depending on location and also dispensed volume. Since this is an older topic, I will lock it. That being said, feel free to create a new topic if there is curiosity around costs!

Baycox yes that is the medicine the vet had mentioned. So I was able to get my passed dog vet in town to do a FFloataion exam. So as soon as my little dude Loki wakes up, I can scoop and drive 5min away. They will send the results to my new vet for Loki and go from there. Phew, did not have to drive 2 hours with a scoop full of poop under a…[Read more]

Baycox is a medicine against coccidiosis. Coccidia are microscopic parasites that can infest the liver of a rabbit. Here is some info about coccidiosis:

All great advice, as always, I’ll take it all on board. We’ll keep them separate and take our time. My boyfriend wants to get back to bonding now but I hear you, and we will wait and really consider what is best for everyone involved.
I am a little concerned about Phil, she seems quite subdued today and off her food but if the bond is broken,…[Read more]

Thank you! Of course I’m getting contacted back by all the rescues I’ve applied to at the same time haha 😅
Instead of starting another thread, I wonder if I can ask a question on here: what carrier is best for two bunnies? There’s mixed advice on whether they should come home together in the same carrier or different carriers. Either way, I want…[Read more]

I’m that other member currently dealing with a bun with cecal dysbiosis… *sighs*
My bun was actually not fond of mint until she tried it a couple of times. She absolutely loves it now. Maybe just give Baylor some time to get used to it, and keep being patient with him. It’s really no big deal if he never likes it, since treats aren’t the…[Read more]
