Sorry that happened, it’s so stressful when bonds are disrupted! Usually these types of issues are fixable. It seems like sometimes no progress is being made and then they “snap” back together, so I wouldn’t worry to much about things not working out at this point (easier said than done, I know).
Does the chasing/nipping tend to happen towards…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic EAR MITES? HELP in the forum DIET & CARE 2 years ago
Pus in the ear would indeed indicate an ear infection. Lop rabbits are prone to ear infections. If the infection is inside the ear, it’s very difficult to treat. Outer ear infections are as a rule treated with drops and cleaning, but that would be dangerous if the tympanic membrane isnt intact or at risk of breaking. For a middle ear infection,…[Read more]

Doesn’t look like ear mites. They start in the inner ear and work their way up. This looks like scratches from scraping with long toe nails.

I’ve read it is safe, it small quantities like any other fruit. I have given mine a bit of the melon flesh and had no issues.

Hi everyone,
I have a pair that have been happily bonded for over 2 years now. Both fixed for years and male/female paring.
Last Friday I had to take Violet to the emergency vet for a GI stasis episode and she was there almost 2 days. Unfortunately it was long enough for her partner, Bun Bun, to become a territorial little jerk and he was…[Read more]

So, disclaimer is that I have not successfully bonded a trio. 🙁 I have 2 failed trio attempts and one failed quad, but all attempts involved the same two girls that were just not having it. So take my advice with a grain of salt! But I have bonded many pairs successfully lol
How big is the bonding area? I’ve always found that litter boxes can…[Read more]

You’re welcome! It really is so hard to navigate your first time doing it! Every bond is different and what works for some may not work for others, and there are often many different approaches that will work. And yeah, no clue why there is such a difference but it could be that Frankie is so anxious that it actually has the opposite effect. A…[Read more]

Thank you so much for your input!! Like you said, I’ll keep with what’s working and like the idea of expanding to the whole bathroom so they get slippery and traction. I’m just a little worried about when we go to carpet because of the experience with the x pen but there must be outside factors at play.
They have full access to the upstairs…[Read more]

Thank you for all the background!
I would definitely stick with the bathtub if that’s working out better! It’s suprising they behaved that way in the x-pen but you never know what’s going on in those bunny brains. I’m not sure where their home-bases are located, but it could be something to do with the general smell of the area. If the x-pen…[Read more]
