I tend to think of bunnies, especially young ones, as a lot like puppies!

They need exercise and stimulation for sure, but also to be in a safe secure area when unsupervised (and the exercise area should be bunny proofed).

That said, don’t panic. Keep your bun calm and as comfortable as possible, and make sure she’s eating. If she doesn’t eat on her own, syringe feed her.

I didn’t know this about extruded pellets, either. My bun, Binkie, was going through cecal dybiosis (soft and runny cecotropes), and Science Selective pellets cleared up her cecal dysbiosis gloriously… she’s back to normal now. Agree with LBJ. They need at least 4 hours of free running time a day in a bunny proofed room. The rabbit cages you can buy at pet stores are usually way too small, if that’s what you have I would recommend that you attach the exercise pen to the cage so that he has access to both when he’s locked up.

If your bun eats fresh greens, f ex  lettuce you can rinse the leaves and serve them wet. If a rabbit gets fresh greens, the rabbit will drink way less than a rabbit that only 3ats hay and pellets.
