Hello. Thank you for the quick reply.

We were thinking the same, about a second litter box. I ordered another from Amazon on Saturday, but it doesn’t arrive until tomorrow. We have a huge whelping mat under the cage and play pen. She is peeing so much in the pen and her urine is so potent since this started. I was trying to not release her in the…[Read more]

That’s good! He sounds very healthy. 🙂  And it’s just something to keep in mind (especially if you start noticing excessive white deposits in his urine).

Coriander is a really good one to add in. Other leaf lettuces are good too if those are easier to come by (just not iceberg). Endive/chicory is another great low-calcium staple veggie that…[Read more]

This all sounds like normal hormonal behavior, so my main advice is just to hang on until she gets spayed!

Maybe you could add a litter box in the play pen area?

How large is her cage? Is it possible to give her 24/7 access to the play pen? Most cages are too small, so her behavior could have gotten worse because she doesn’t have enough…[Read more]

Hello, I am a new member. We have a female bunny that was born 6/12/2021. We got her when she was 10 weeks old. She was potty trained for a few weeks. Last week she appeared to start puberty. Out of nowhere she got very aggressive with her cage. She started circling my husbands feet, nipping, and honking. Once this started she suddenly stopped…[Read more]

I haven’t noticed those signs that much, but I will definitely mention it to my vet! I’m slightly impressed that Bun Jovi still has a spicy side at his age hahha! Wolf actually used to constantly pee outside of his litter despite being litter trained. He’s been pretty good since moving back he, though. So either his renewed litter skills are a…[Read more]

Yeah he loves hay haha,, loves chasing me when i grab the hay bag but yes thank you so much for your advice!! I’ll definitely keep it in heart,, although mustard greens are cheaper than romaine in my area, i will try my best to look for other greens that can be incorporated in his diet,, i do usually add in some coriander or mint or any other…[Read more]

Yep, sounds like what Bun Jovi does to Myra. 5 is getting older but not quite senior yet in my mind (Bun Jovi is 12!). I do think it will get better with time and is almost certainly from the move, but I would still mention it to your vet. They can do a urine screen to look for an infection, and if they suspect sludge or crystals they can do an…[Read more]

I’m glad she is more calm!

I would never remove the barrier pen though (until they are bonded), it’s just an invitation for nipped noses which can lead to bad feelings very quickly!

I think given your history with Phil, I would not be in a huge rush to start sessions. I would go for at least 1 week of settling in (so no side swaps) first. If…[Read more]

My buns usually like to get a drink right after I change the water too. 🙂 You could always refresh it twice a day if you’re worried. I don’t think you need to get a fancy fountain, but there is no harm in offering both a bowl and a bottle. I have a bottle and a bowl, just in case mine knock over the bowl while I’m not home.

Does he eat plenty of…[Read more]

Since his appetite is good, poop is good and he seems all healthy, I dont think he is drinking too little. He probably gets quite a bit of fluids in him from his greens.

The cat-and dog bowls with running water are nice but the filters are rather expensive and need to be exchanged often. They’re especially good for cats because cat notoriously…[Read more]

Thanks so much. That was really reassuring and helpful. Things are much calmer this morning. She’s not annoyed at all anymore and is just really keen to see him. He’s less interested overall but he’s still settling in so that’s OK. He has periods of intense interest. I’ve put her blanket down next to his own and she’s spending a lot of time there…[Read more]

Hi!!! Thank you so much for replying,, and yes he is eating well with hay, pellets and greens and pooping alright (he recently got digestive snacks from the vet), he hasnt been as energetic as he was when i first adopted him but he is still doing fine,, he always have mustard greens for his veggies and we occasionally give him barley flakes or…[Read more]

Hi and welcome to the BB forums! This is the right section for your question.

A rabbit should drink 50 -150 ml water per kilo body weight and day. A bun that gets fresh greens will drink considerably less than a rabbit that eats only hay and pellets, because greens consist mainly of water. If the weather is hot, the bun might drink more.

    It’s…[Read more]

    hello,

i have a 6 month year old bunny and i adopted him since he was 2 weeks old with guidance and proper care from youtube and this bunny forum too, so as i know that a bowl is much more suitable than a water bottle for him, i quickly disagreed with my mother to get one but with monthly supervision on him, my father and i figured out he isn’t…[Read more]
