You really need to keep your dog away from your bunny. Please remember dogs are predators and rabbits are prey, and often dogs “playing” can lead to a rabbit getting killed. It seems to work best to have both bunnies living side by side in the same area during the bonding process, making sure they can’t nip each other through fencing or jump into each other’s areas. My guess is that she’s eating less hay, it can be harder to keep track in bonded pairs. In my experience that seems to be the most tied to poop size. LOL glad she snapped out of it! I would have done the exact same thing (some critical care and simethicone), often that’s all that’s needed to snap them out of a little gassy episode.

Not all cats are cuddly, that’s for sure. But there are a lot that are quite loving. I had a very sweet kitty that absolutely loved to held and petted. I’m so glad to hear he is regaining some of his mobility back! Don’t panic if he regresses a little bit in the coming days. It isn’t unusual to have setbacks when recovering from EC.

Thanks so much, this helped a lot! I don’t mind the extra work or expenses for bunnies,  but I am leaning towards maybe getting a cat. I’ve kept many small animals before and I really enjoy the whole bonding experience with prey animals and how special it is, but I think I might want to experience a new type of bond with a cat, in a way.
