The buzzing can be a happy sound too, like if they are really happy/excited to get a treat.
Bonded pairs will mount each other occasionally for seemingly no reason. I’m sure there is something going on in their heads, we just don’t know what it is. As long as it isn’t causing a fight or the other bunny to become distressed then I wouldn’t…[Read more]

My sweet gentle boy has since turned into a crazed mastermind of bunstruction literally overnight! I’ve expanded his cage and have some of his free roam space now covered in cardboard. We’ll reevaluate the crate after we ride this out and his little hormones settle. Thank you!

They’ve been castrated and bonded for several months now. There seem to be no obvious trigger, and the rest of the day they’re just back to their usual self, just grooming each other, eating together, sleeping together in a pile like they always did and do. It’s or at around 9:30 pm or around 11:30 pm that they’ll have this fight and will…[Read more]

Hello!
I have a pair of one year old neutered buck & doe buns. They have been bonded for about 8 months and get along very well, always glued to each other and grooming.
When first introduced there was a lot of mounting from the buck but since now living together, he hasn’t done it. Every once in a while (like once a fortnight) the doe mounts h…[Read more]

Is the perfume actually ON her? Like on her fur? Or did she just run over and get a big nose full of the fragrance?

Hmm, yes I agree with Wick&Fable. There could have been some irritation that slightly constricted her airways, so I think a vet visit is a good idea.

Make sure to keep air circulating to dissipate the smell, but honestly if she now has audible breathing, I would recommend taking her to the vet just to get a medical opinion on how her airways sound. Perfume is a lot more than just scent, so inhaling those particles may be doing more than just irritation at a strong smell.

Hello everyone!!
I have a 7 months old mini lop, she’s very playful and curious. Recently my grandmother who has some coordination issues accidentally dropped a little plastic bottle of perfume on the floor (it didn’t broke but perfume went all over the place) and my rabbit quickly went and smelled it, i tried to stop but i didn’t see none of…[Read more]

That level of fighting is not normal in a bonded pair. My guess about the timing is that it’s because that is a very active time of day for rabbits, rather than having to due with hormones (unless they were castrated very recently)? Something appears to have upset their bond. Do you notice any particular trigger? Such as aggression over food or an…[Read more]

So I have a problem,
I have a few rabbits and they were already bonded for a while, they’re also castrated, however now since about 3 days, they started fighting ONLY between 9-12pm, and when I say fighting I mean the whole jumping, kicking, biting kind, I just interfere, they stop and 10 minutes later they’re back to their usual self being…[Read more]

Dorian really is a little Prince!
It’s funny I almost have the opposite thing with Bonnie and Cooper. Bonnie usually isn’t very into being petted, but sometimes when I’m petting Cooper she will also accept some pets. I think she comes over and thinks I have treats. Then she will put her head down for Cooper to groom her, but then I pet her…[Read more]

I think it’s more than just he wants what she has, he doesn’t do this if anyone else is petting her. And it’s a bit different from if I have a treat and they both want it. It’s more, that’s my human, it isn’t just putting his head in the way to get pets, sometimes he nudges and gentle nips me. We sometimes try to do a double bun pet, but Miu will…[Read more]
