Olivia was watching “Toddlers in Tiaras”. She thinks that show is ridiculous. However, she knows there are a lot of beautiful ladies out there in Binky Bunny land so she decided she is going to host an online pageant for them.
Before I outline the rules and we can get started, I need to have 3 volunteer judges. The first 3 interested get the job. There are only two conditions for judges:
1) Judges have to be online Friday, March 4, 2011 to submit their scores.
2) Judges cannot enter their bunny in the pageant.
The pageant is girls only (don’t worry boys, Stormy and Bindi are planning a Mr. Binky Bunny pageant for the near future!)
Once we have the judges confirmed, Miss Olivia will outline the rules and your bunnies can start showing what they’ve got!

I can’t believe how submissive and easy to handle Ms. Rabbit is! I just had her in a dress and a wig for 25 minutes. Not once did she bite me or try to get away. She didn’t seem to be phased by it at all once I took the dress off. I’m such a lucky bunny owner.
^^^You almost made me SPIT my coffee out all over the keyboard. I could handle the dress… but a wig… that just put me over the top.
But anyways, ditto Pam… be very careful with dressing them up; not all buns are accepting of accessories and if they freak they can hurt themselves very, very badly.

Age: About 1 year
What I do to brighten my person’s day: As my human says, I’m a “little snugglebun!” I enjoy all kinds of attention. I really love being held and petted by my human. I also enjoy snuggling with my human on the couch and watching the weird noisy flashy thing…as long as there’s treats involved!
My best talent is: Sneaking up on humans! One moment, the human will see me snuggling with Mr. Bunny. The next moment, they’ll feel my little bunny paws climbing up their back and my tiny tongue licking their shirt. I love seeing their reaction! I do the same thing with food, too. In fact, just a few days ago, I found a strange drink called “Coffee” sitting around. I managed to drink a whole lot in just about five seconds! (Oh, and now I know how the pure dwarf side of my family must have felt!)
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: There’s lots of things I love! First, I love how many treats I get here when I’m good or I do a trick! Second, I love all of the toys and tasty wood sticks I get to play with! And, of course, I love my humans and Mr. Bunny. I still think of my old bunny friend from my old home sometimes, but I love Mr. Bunny and Mame (FluffyBunny) a whole lot.

What I do to brighten my person’s day: Here I am, and I am beautiful. It’s like looking at the sunrise, or a perfect rose. I simply shine my brightness each day and she brings me breakfast. In the evening, I give her feet little kisses, which makes her laugh – the bright, tinkling sound of bells.
My best talent is: I think at my young age I have untapped potential, so my best talent is my intelligence. Eventually I will do crossword puzzles. Right now, I eat them.
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: I’m cute, I’m loveable, I get waited on paw and foot. I have a beautiful fur coat that is politically correct and no man had to buy it for me, so I am an independent Diva. I guess my favorite thing is that “I enjoy being a girl.”

What I do to brighten my person’s day: Binky and look beautiful of course! Also i love to give snugglez and eat treats! I love my human!
My best talent is: Bunny 500’s and I give wicked kisses. Also I can walk extremly quietly my mommy calls me twinkletoes.
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: Eating hay and posing for pictures. I also love my Husbun DJ very much and My favorite food is Blueberries. I love everyone and am a strong independent wobun with a love of fashion and athletics.

Just a question….people can enter pictures that weren’t specifically taken for this purpose? So if they have trouble getting a pic now they can enter something any pic they have as long as it’s fairly recent? And can modify it to suit?
I’ve made a note of the pagent in the March chat thread. Maybe comments and questions etc could be made there or in another thread for that purpose?

What I do to brighten my person’s day: I love attention from humans, so I always follow my mommy around to whichever room she is in and sit by her feet. Whenever mommy is petting another bunny, I go up to her and nudge her hand with my head so I can be pet too. I am a very sassy girl who wants my way, so whenever I feel dominated, I will lay and pout, which mommy thinks is hilarious.
My best talent is: Jumping over the barrier that is meant to block bunnies from getting in the hallway. I come and go from the hallway as I please.
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: Pepperoni is so sassy and has so much personality.
Pepperoni says: I’m a ninja bunny because I always sneak up on mommy. For example, mommy would be blow drying her hair in the bathroom and suddenly see me sitting on the bathroom mat. Of course I have to jump over the barrier to the hallway to surprise her, but that doesn’t stop me. I’m always using my ears to cover my eyes like a ninja and pretend that I’m not looking at you, but I think mommy can tell that I’m looking.

What I do to brighten my person’s day: I can ALWAYS put a smile on my momma’s face by giving her kisses once she steps into any room I am in. I can also have my momma laughing in no time by simply dragging my favorite blanky all around the house and then flopping down on it once i’ve found a good hidey place where no once can interrupt me. My prescence alone is sufficient enough to make my momma feel warm and fuzzy inside!
My best talent is: My best talent would have to be kisses and cuddles!!! Im a super sweet bun and VERY complient. My momma had no trouble getting those two shots of me. I would have to add being photogenic, I love the flashy box that later gives me craisins for sitting still.
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: My favorite part of being a bun-bun would have to be being loved unconditionaly without any expectations what so ever. Another great thing about being a cute bun is being able to get away with ANYTHING just as long as I flash my dark and long eyelashes at momma, really it works just last night i got into mommas purse and chewed on a 50 dollar bill, not sure why that would bother her but one bash of these lovely eyelashes and momma was kissing and hugging me calling me her sweet monkey

What I do to brighten my person’s day: I love to give kisses to my mommy. She knows I love her very much! I also melt away whatever stress is on her mind and make her laugh when I ‘snow plow’ on her blanket! Flopping on my belly so fast that I do a complete roll (mom can’t stop laughing when I do this). No matter what, she can count on me to make her happy when all in the world isn’t going so good!
My best talent is: BEING A DIVA!!!!! I will sit on my favorite chair and sit there and sit there waiting for pets! I also will nibble her fingers and put my nose under her hand for PETS!!! Stealing craisins from the craisin bag (mom put the bag on the counter now)!!!!!!! Flopping all over my mom’s baby blanket!
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: Being a very spoiled house rabbit. Having my mommy give me daily loves. I love love love my dinner greens, especially romaine lettuce! I love watching tv with my mommy! I really wove James Bun

Age: 1 year and two weeks (I got special treats on my brithday!)
What I do to brighten my person’s day: I put my paws on her legs and nudge her with my nose and ask for attention. I also jump in bed with my mommy if she forgets to close my xpen door before she falls asleep.
My best talent is: walking on hind legs for treats and leaping into my mommy’s lap when I want extra attention.
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: Getting first dibs on any veggies and herbs my mom gets. She knows I wuuuve basil (She promised to buy me my own basil plant soon!)

Age: 2 years (my birthday is Thursday!)
What I do to brighten my person’s day: Well, the strange, hairless giant that gives me treats seems to very much enjoy it when I give her nose nuzzles. I’m not much for kissing or cuddling, but when I do that she seems to be very happy. She also says that I take the absolutely the CUTEST little face baths. She also says ‘awwww’ whenever I yawn. And when I run around the apartment at crazy speeds she always stops what she’s doing to watch. So it is quite possible that everything I do brightens her day. Which is fine by me, the happier she is, the more papaya treats I get! So to summarize, I brighten my person’s day just by being a bunny.
My best talent is: I am an escape artiste extraordinaire! I have been known to open the door of my pen by shoving it with my head at just the right angle. I also like to push doors open to rooms that I’m not supposed to be in. This leads a very fun game where my human tries to shoo me out and I just run further into the room and hide behind all of those yummy looking books she doesn’t want me to nibble!
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: I love my husbun, Spencer! I could just loaf around and cuddle with him all of the time. In fact, we are so inseperable that you may notice my human had trouble getting more than one picture of just me, and his ear makes an appearance in one of them. Other than that, I enjoy racing around the apartment, my human says that I’m “chasing invisible dragons”, I’m not sure what a dragon is, but I bet I could catch one! I also love papaya treats. A lot! I sometimes nibble my human in hopes that she has one for me. She promised me some for those pictures she took, and I intend to hold her to that.

My favorite thing about being a bunny is: Spending all day long with my humans and my bunny friend Monkey. I can relax, play, binky all day long and no one minds!

Name: Dutchess Marie
Age: Twelve months and fourteen days
What I do to brighten my mum’s day: I absolutely love to give my mum kisses all over! Whenever she lays down on the floor with me or snuggles me close I just can’t help it, I have to lick every part of her I can reach. I especially love giving her a good face grooming-she can’t see to do it herself so I have made it my personal responsibility to keep her face nice and clean. Whenever my mum is in the room I like to lay or sit near her if I can, and whenever she takes a nap by me I make sure to be on alert and wake her up if anything seems amiss. The best thing I like to do to make my mum happy is to just be myself, she seems awfully fascinated with everything I do, and is especially happy when I run around or play with my toys.
My best talent is: getting into mischief! I absolutely love to drive my mum and her people crazy by exploring and delving into every little nook and space in the rooms I can get into. Sometimes I get to have an adventure without anyone knowing about it! One time when mum opened a door for just a few seconds, I scampered in without her knowing, and she closed the door and I got to play until she finally found me twenty minutes later! She still doesn’t know what I did when I was in there, and I’m not about to say either.
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: basking in all the lovely attention I get from so many people. My mum likes to show me around to people, and has even taken me to work once to meet all the kids she teaches! They really loved me, and I got so many pets that day that my tail nearly wagged! All I have to do is give my mum a certain look, and she knows that I want to get out to play or that I want a treat. Being a bunny sure is a good life, everything I need my mum takes care of for me, and although she needs some treat reminders sometimes, I couldn’t ask for a more attentive mum. (Although sometimes I think she needs to find a social life of her own and let me get on with mine at Hoppy Hour.) Yup, being a bunny is probably the best thing for me!

Having a great time looking at all these pics and reading the bunnie’s entry forms!!! They all deserve to win! That’s why I cut the voting down into sections because all the buns are so beautiful it would be way too hard for the judge’s to just pick a favourite!

Name: Miss Peppy
Age: As of March, I’ve graced the world with my presence for one year.
What I do to brighten my person’s day: I take care of them! My big bunnies, as I affectionately call them, come to me whenever they need a little break from whatever mischief they’ve gotten themselves into. I guess they need to get a good eyeful of my beautiful self every once in a while, after staring at those big glowy screens all day. They lay down next to me and give me a few good pets, and I immediately know what my job is. I shower them with stress-relieving kisses and make sure they get a good thorough grooming, Peppy-style. There’s no love like bunna love!
My best talent is: I’m a typing bunny! One of my big bunnies always uses her big glowy screen on the bed, and I love to hop on the bed and walk all over it! I’ve even typed a few text smiley faces before, and discovered a few hotkeys that my big bunny didn’t even know existed! Funny how she never seems to appreciate it though…
My favorite thing about being a bunny is: My ultra hip and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Everybody talks about being kind to the earth and the animals lately, but I can proudly say that my diet is entirely vegan, and I sport a gorgeous cruelty-free fur coat every day. Beat that!
I asked my big bun to post larger pictures of me, but she said something about breaking the frames. However, she eventually gave in and said she would provide everybunny with links to the larger versions of my pictures, so that everybunny can admire me in higher resolution too!

Bunny Name: The Devine Miss Kya
Age: approx. 2 1/2 years
What I do to Brighten my Persons day: I’m a little diva who needs constant attention to the point of desperation which my human thinks is amusing/cute. I love to binky about spastically than FREEZE… lick my lips… than I’m off again. My human finds this behavior very silly and she says she could watch me be silly all day. She also compliments me on my vocalizations. I am very loud for a bunny.
My Best Talent is: Being silly and obnoxious. I’m also a talented snow plower, digger, teeth purer, and chinner. I think everything belongs to me and I chin everything!
My Favorite Thing about being a Bunny is: Being small and light so I can frisk about constantly. I also love my veg (but I’m very picky). And I love getting my face rubs each and every day.

Age: The vets not sure but she thinks I’m about 3 years old
What I do to Brighten my Persons day: My human loves that I am laid back and sweet. She likes how confused I seem to be all the time and how I practically break down the door when ever she comes home just to rush so I can see her. She likes that I am tolerant and patient with her because she is still learning the mysterious ways of us bunnies
but that I always let her know (gently) when I am unhappy. I don’t dig or chew and my human is very grateful for this. My Best Talent is: I know how to make everyone smile. I do love to burrow in my person’s blankets and boy am I speedy! I am a very accomplished climber and can get to very high points for a bun. I must be the fastest eater in bun land too. I am not picky and will even find sticky spots on the floor to lick at.
My Favorite thing about being a Bunny is: The fact that my human takes care of everything for me and I don’t have to worry. I am also very happy that she lets me be inside and gives me plenty of food. (My last owner kept me outside, rain or shine, and all I ever did was sit and eat pellets). I am always thanking her with lots of snuggles

Okay, the results are in. But first Olivia wants to stress that all the bunnies look gorgeous! The little costumes were so adorable and the “Oh, Natural” bunnies were beautiful as well. Remember that the winners are not based on “most beautiful”, it also depended on photo quality and the entry write-up. Conratulations to all who entered. I hope you had as much fun as Olivia did hosting the “Bunnies in Tiara’s” Pageant. And I’m looking forward to seeing all the boys pictures in the near future during our Mr. Binky Bunny Competition. I hope there are no hard feelings…after all this was all in the name of fun. If every bunny were to win it would not be much of a pageant! I have to admit I do feel bad that not every bunny got a title because I know that everyone put effort into their entry. They all deserve a crown!!!! I just adore each and every one of them gals!
Peppy- Great idea! I was going to get Stormy and Bindi to present the boy’s competition but if you and Peppy want to be in charge of it that’s fine. Then my handsome boys could enter! Or we could just do another girl’s themed pageant later on. Or a couple’s pageant like someone had suggested.
