New girl has such an interesting face…so soft and yet angular…almost deer-like from certain angles. Pretty girl!

Congrats Ashley – she’s amazing! Going to enjoy seeing this breed I haven’t seen much of before. Things look good so far regarding Rain but I guess you know a little of how she goes with other buns because of Shiloh. Oh, is your sister a member here? Be good to see how Shiloh is going too!

no my sister isnt on here.. i have seen shiloh twice though since she left and shes doing great! I will have to take some pictures of her next time i see her (Gotta remember my darn camera)

I love the video. You know, I feel better seeing how fast she can run even with the long ears. It certainly looks like they initially want to have company. That is so cute the way Rain got under her ear * whispers sweet nothings * . How are they this morning?

A couple people on bunspace.com also said repunzel.. its cute but too much of a mouthful, remember it has to be something my 4 & 2yr old kids can say hahaha.. Rain spent ALOT of time under her ears.. it was cracking me up!

Both girls spent the night in our master bathroom/vanity… its very close to the actual bedroom where my husband and i sleep, and im a super light sleeper.. there was no fighting last night at all. Of course shes not litter trained yet so i had quite the mess to clean up this morning but otherwise they are doing great! She even walked up to the gate this mornign and periscoped at me haha… shes very curious and LOVES being petted! Rain I think was getting a bit jealous because she ran right up under my hand demanding to be pet also haha.. they are good girls. I think this match is going to work very well.

Hmmm…I just did a quick google search for princesses’ names, and only one caught my eye as a possible match for her.
Jasmine.
Somehow she looks like one to me, though I like Fiona too. And Rupy.
But Jasmine; you like? Naming is SO hard. LOL

jasmine is alright… i always think of aladin and if she were brown and black or something maybe.. but she has blonde/orange hair.. i had even thought of aurora after sleeping beauty but thats a tough name too.. why oh why is naming so difficult! Rain just came to me for her so easily! I like Fiona but ehh it doesnt seem to fit her either! I wish I could just think of a darn name but considering its a name shes gonna have awhile lol i want it to be the “right” one. Thanks for the suggestions!! Keep them coming!!!

 

it doesnt have to be a princess name either.. just nice girly names would be good too. I have thought of Emily to name her but its too human (and were reserving that name in case we ever have a girl lol) What about Savanna? Thats kinda long.. she reminds me of a southern belle or something like that (no belle, we had a pet rat named belle)

do be careful with her and Rain. the chasing from the video did not look good, the way they were hopping over each other. it looks like that could turn aggressive easily. i would not leave them alone together until that type of behavior stops.

thanks for the comments everyone.. i think were going to call her Abbie Faline, her pedigree indicates her name is Faline (not that it matters, its just a peice of paper) It seems most fitting and i love the name Abbie!

Beka, thanks for your concern!! it means alot to have your input The girls were left in the bathroom alone last night and thigns went very well.. there was absoultly no fighting, this morning both girls are doing well also. Were laying together near the shower doors when we got up and out of bed. We will continue to keep a close eye on them when we reintroduce them to “Rains territory” (aka the huge mansion of a cage) i know thats her area and we dont want fighting to start when they are kept near there. The running and jumping has stopped, especially in the bathroom considering there is little room to really get running fast. we wills ee what happens tonight

oh good. it might have just been them getting accustomed to each other. Abbie is too young for the hormones, and Rain’s will be making an exit within the next few weeks. i cannot believe she is only 9 weeks. she is HUGE!!! she is going to make Rain look itty bitty as an adult.

oh i know!!! i seriously second questioned the breeder about her age. i couldnt believe shes only 9wks!! they said her ears and her body will continue growing! when i get home from work im going to weigh her, shes gotta be at least twice the weight of rain. Rain is a dwarf something so im sure she should only get to be another pound or two max, poor abbie is goign to be at least twice the size she is now according to breed standards. poor abbie tripping all over the place, imagine how annoying that must be lol im glad we did get rain spayed when we did!

NO KIDDING!! and our local humane society just called me (i had taken Rain an hour away for her spay in another county because it was faster) of course!! So now, im goign to schedule Abbies spay now for in a couple months, then its even one more thing crossed off the list of things to do.

just got home and the girls did great!! Very few poos on the floor too considering how many were on the floor this morning hahaha. she hopped right up to me and pushed her head into my hand for a good pet! once i refilled water and a bit more food rain hopped into my lap while i was petting abbie.. they are both so sweet!

Abbie is 4lbs and 8oz!! Shes a big girl thats for sure… I took a bunch of new pics tonight too so ill be sure to share those in a few. I also got to see her very first binkie, it was the funniest cutest thing i think ive ever seen! Her little ears flipped backwards in the air as she took off lol

Abbie is a perfect name for her. After I read it this morning it really stuck in my head. Anyway, Abigail was a sort of US royalty, as in Adams. Very, very regal name. almost 5 lbs – at 9 weeks!!!! Better shore up those cage platforms.

Thanks Pam… I thought it was oddly fitting for her too! She and Rain have been playing for the better part of the evening and ive only had to pick up 5 poops… shes peed once outside the litter box (but in the cage) so im hoping she will catch on as quickly as rain did. Her little binkies CRACK ME UP! she has also been spending the last hour or so jumping in and out of the cage from the second floor. Of course it scares the *%&$ out of me everytime she does it!Shes behind the sofa with Rain right now, if she starts doing it again i have my video camera out lol
