I felt left out since everyone is sharing their fancy new rabbit cages.  My cages are pretty new too but they are NIC condos.  I didn’t get to hammer and saw but I did shred my hands all up securing about 600 zip ties.

Here’s my “little cage”.  It’s 5 grids long (70 in.) by 2 grids wide (28 in.) by 2 grids high (28 in.)

And here is my “big cage”  It’s 6 grids long (84 in.)  by 2 grids wide (28 in.) by 2 grids high (28 in.)

Zinnia (single dark bunny at the bottom of the “big” cage is a big bunny.  She’s right around 13 lbs.  :0)

Wow! I’m pretty sure that would take up an entire wall in my room. What are you using as the shelves (black ones)? I’m getting the urge to build on more to my cages. I think I’m going to make a little 3rd floor square as a window seat.
          And is Zinnia a flemmie?

We think Zinnia is a flemmie mix. Her ears are nowhere near long enough to be a purebred flemmie.

The black stuff is sold as a corrugated runner sold by the linear foot at lowes. I have the corrugated side down so the flat side is up (I didn’t want pee or water to be able to pool in the ridges). I have it tacked down to wood subflooring.

Oh, I remember reading that in a thread before now. You got her not too long ago, right?

Those are great cages! Perfect for multiple, unbonded rabbits! For exercise time, do you have to remove the “top bunnies” or do you have a ramp or something?

I have to take them down and give them a litter box.

awesome!!!!!  You did a great job. I had to laugh when I saw the two sizes. I have been wanting to build a lil condo myself and finally go the materials over the weekend!!! After three days of exausting building and rebuilding and zipping…boy can I appreciate your shreddedness! lol…..

We have the final product. Only a couple of issues. I have a flemish myself, and I realized that we have to raise some floor plans which kinda sucks…but have to since I want him to be able to stand up and look out on at least two of the three levels we made. And…..the escape artist struck AGAIN last night…first night in her new condo. had to search for her this morning. She was all to happy to just lay under my daughter’s bed! ugh! She visited everyone’s room, but nobody woke up or realized she was there. lol. She is getting much better at the art of being quiet! turd!  anyhow, we think she got through one very small area. we shall see when we get home today. I can’t believe she got out at all. Those flemish can get through the smallest of things, it amazes me!!!

Congrats on your condos. they are very nice. I almost wish I had seen your post before I started puting in my floors. Might have saved me some work! lol

I had to do two sizes because the room they’re in is supposed to be the dining room…and it’s pretty small. Plus I bought the bottom half of the small cage from the rescue and it has a nice floor with wheels on it. I want to build a rolling floor for the big cage but that’s not happening any time soon. :0)

Thanks for the compliments! Amber and I make a pretty good cage building team, even though we both loathe it.

I really like your set-up TARM. It looks neat and custom-made. white at the top and black at the bottom. cool.

Ha, that’s just because I bought a black cage and only had white grids when I added the second level. I think I have enough grids to change the face of the white one but color doesn’t much matter to me.

Mocha, I have three bonded pairs and one single bunny. When they have their out of cage time they torment each other through the grids. I think we’re as bonded as we’re gonna get.

TARM, refresh my bad memory – who is your last pair? I remember your daughter’s boys, and T&R, and Zinnia, but can’t for the life of me remember the other two!

Marshmallow and Digger. Digger came from the pound, Marshmallow came from Bunny Lu. Digger picked her and together they give bunny butt to the world.
