        Hi Everyone:

Can anyone recommend a good place to board rabbits in the NYC Metropolitan area?  Unfortunately, I don’t have anyone that could come by and care for him while I’m away.  I had also seen some places in NJ that offer lots of services while they are boarding your bunny. For instance: nail trimming, scent gland cleaning, etc.  Please let me know if anyone has information to share with me, thank you!

You might contact the New York City House Rabbit Society – the link is above and see if they know of anyone for boarding your rabbit.

I don’t have any specific recommendations because I’m a bit out of the city, but I wanted to suggest looking for a pet sitter as well. I found a woman who charges the same thing as the vet, but obviously she comes into my home so Otto doesn’t have to be relocated. I always assumed that boarding would be cheaper than pet sitting, so I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t.
