    I’m very sorry to hear about the sudden news, but you now have the knowledge and that is most important.

    To start, from my years of rabbit advocacy and care experience, I recommend NOT concerning yourself much at all with how this came about, whether it’s grief, congenital, etc. It doesn’t change the reality and your energy and motivation will be more impactful in focusing on the present and discussing options with your vet.

    Moving forward, it would be complying with treatment recommendations and updating your vet as things progress.

    An initial shock after coming home from the vet isn’t unusual, so just keep monitoring and if she doesn’t bounce back eventually, contact the vet and also know your ER vet options as well.
