I would wait to starting bonding until the female is at least 3-4 weeks post-spay. Once she is healed from her spay (about 2 weeks after) you can also start doing side swaps. You could do them now, but since her smell will change a lot once she is spayed I think it’s easiest just to wait till after spaying (less marking to clean up as well!).
Sometimes females go through a post-spay “craze” around 4-6 weeks, but this seems more common when older rabbits are spayed. If you notice she’s still acting very hormonal or seems extra territorial around 4 weeks, then it would be good to hold off on bonding for a couple weeks more to let her hormones full settle. 🙂
Happy to provide more advice along the way once you get going with them!
