I found this is my 6 month old female holland lop litter she pooped them out and seemed fine she went on about her day happy and jumpy but the fact these were even in her litter scares me because I have no idea what these bloody things are we had an idea she got pregnant with the male bunny she is free roamed with but obviously this is not the cause but maybe that information can help a bit, and I’ve tried to get her into a vet but they won’t allow me unless I have an appointment so I wanted to come onto here for the mean time until I can get into vet. Does anyone have an idea wat the reason for this?

That’s not poop. From the pictures, it looks like it came from her uterus. You say you thought she may have been pregnant?

Yes I know isn’t poop I meant i had found with her poop but I thought she may have been pregnant from seeing the male bunny mating with her and how she had been acting lately.

If you free-roam an unspayed female and an unneutered male this is essentially a guarantee of pregnancy. Just as a reminder, the topic of intentional breeding is forbidden on this forum.

This looks like it could be a failed pregnany (miscarriage), the best thing is to have your bunny checked out by the vet as soon as you can. If she isn’t continuing to bleed then I don’t think it’s an emergency but she should still be checked out. I hope you plan to spay her as the risk of uterine cancer is very high in female rabbits, so spaying will greatly increase her life span.

Sorry,  I didn’t make it back to this thread. Thanks Dana! And yes, definitely looks like a failed pregnancy. Dana gave good advice.
