Anyone know the lb to ml conversion of metacam/meloxidyl (1.5 mg strength) to use the syringe? Last time I used regular syringe before I got med leaking out.

I’m looking for .3 mL. Is that 10 lbs?

          Yes, that should be correct.

          I calculated it like this:

Normal dose for a dog is 0.045 mg meloxicam per lb. That means a 10 lb dog needs 0.45 mg meloxicam. The 10 lb mark on the syringe means 0.45 mg meloxicam.

O.3 ml of a 1.5 mg solution (the dose you want) contains 0.3 ×1.5 mg = 0.45 mg

(I find the dog dosage syringe annoying, but it’s of course convenient if you are actually medicating a dog, not a rabbit).
