  Someone I know told me that they’ve seen people give their rabbits cucumbers, tomatoes and orange peels (usually in treats for the orange peels) and asked if those are actually safe and I’m questioning it too; the safe food list I have currently says cucumber peels are safe, tomatoes aren’t on the list and that orange peels aren’t safe but I got my list back in 2018-2019 so the info may be outdated. I read the Diet and Care/Sage Foods section but I just want to make double sure.

  Orange peels themselves are not toxic. I think the concern is possible pesticide contamination or coatings (e.g. wax).
  
  As for tomatoes, the fruit is not toxic. However, the rest of the plant is.

    What about cucumbers? A friend of mine gives their rabbit cucumber pieces with the peel.

  Cucumbers are fine, as are zucchini. Rabbits can also eat the leaves of cucumbers and zucchini but my buns have never wanted to 😄 (I grow those plants myself in the summers so I know they’re totally pesticide-free).
