We came across an awesome documentary that shows what rabbit life is like underground. The documentary is called “The Burrowers”, and it’s available on YouTube.

What happens inside a rabbit burrow hasn’t been properly researched before, because you can’t simply shove cameras and lights into a burrow without disturbing the animals. That’s why scientists recreated natural burrows for rabbits, badgers and water voles, and turned one of the walls into an observatory. Now they can see everything that happens underground, giving unique insight into the natural behaviour of burrowing animals. Also: baby bunnies! I cannot stress this enough: BABY BUNNIES!

        Here are the three episodes:

Thank you, Ellie! I watched this docu when it aired on our national tv, and I so wanted to watch it again but it was only available on BBC. It’s great that it’s now available on YT! It really is wonderfully interesting.
