Hi, I have a free roam Bunny.  What can I clean my floor(tile) with that is safe? Also any suggestions on what I use for fleas i  my house with a free roam bunny? Are professional pest controls safe. They claim they are. Sincerely, Tx Buns mom

For fleas, you can use food grade diatomaceous earth as long as the bun is not in direct contact with it. I would put the bun in another room, sprinkle the diatomaceous earth around (wear an N95 mask when you do this), and then vacuum it up. It’s not toxic but can be irritating if the dust is inhaled.

As for cleaning floors, a 10% white vinegar solution would be safest for tile floors.

I can’t speak regarding the pest control companies as I don’t know what compounds they specifically use. Can you get more info from them?

Professional pest control companies claim to be “safe for pets”. But I think they are referring to cats and dogs. It may not be safe for sensitive animals like birds and small critters. So yes, I would ask specifically what they are using. Even then, I would be wary about treating areas your bunnies have access to. Spraying under kitchen cabinets and other areas they would never access to would probably be OK.

Specifically regarding fleas… Revolution does provide some environmental control because bunnies shed danger in beds, etc. Treating areas with diatomaceous earth is pretty effective and safe as long as you prevent your bunny from inhaling the powder.

PSA – Never use products containing fipronil (e.g. Frontline) on your bunny. It is toxic to them.
