Hello bunny community!
We have recently moved from a city flat to a lovely cottage in the countryside and I have noticed quite a change in my bunnies’ behaviour!
In the flat, my rabbits were incredibly active and destroyed almost all carpet or furniture that they could lay their eyes upon. We even made them cardboard box forts that they shredded to bits every week. However, they seemed very happy there, binkying and zooming around the flat frequently.
We’ve moved to the countryside recently and have been here for over a month now – and the bunnies are just SO MUCH LESS destructive! They have only destroyed one big cardboard box since being here and floop happily a lot more. I have even discovered that my bunnies can purr so loudly! They purr almost all day long – except when they are eating or playing.
Could it be that the city apartment was causing them more stress than our countryside home? The apartment was medium-sized and definitely not cramped – especially because they had full roam of it.
