Hi!
I have been feeding my bunny Oxbow’s adult essentials since I got her, basically. The shelter had been giving her alfalfa pellets and I slowly weened her off those, since she is for sure older than 8 months now (the vet thinks she is closer to 1.5 yrs).
I just saw that these pellets are not recommended for “active” bunnies..what exactly does that mean? I would definitely classify her as “active” but I don’t know what their baseline is!
Is there a better pellet I could be giving her? The usual store I go to only has these ones and the “young” (alfalfa) version, but I could order some online. I see that the garden select product seems to be popular?
Note: Her diet is 1/4c of pellets per day (scattered & fed throughout the day), ~1c of veg 2x per day, unlimited hay (I used to give her just timothy, but last time I got a timothy/orchard mix and she loves that). She is about 4-5lbs.
thanks!
