        Hi everyone!
So when I found out we were going to adopt our bunny I bought him wood toys and things for him to screw. But it doesn’t interest him.  He loves to explore around but at times I feel like his an old man. He just lays on the floor with his 2 back legs spread 🤣😂. He licks his paws, legs, hands, and I’ve noticed like he likes the floor🤔🤔🤔  it’s so weird. Is that somewhat normal??? If not, please help me know what I can do please.

When a bun is lying on its tum with his legs spread out, the bun is relaxed and content. That is great, because it means he feels safe and at ease. It can take a long time for the owner to achieve that in a shelter bun, so you’re doing great! That he likes to explore is great too. Buns like to lick and groom other buns, so a bun that licks stuff in his environment is performing a natural behavior. He will probably direct this towards you after some time, and first lick your clothes and then your skin. It is an act of affection and a wish to be close to another individual.

Its mostly young buns that are interested in toys, and adult buns that have been accustomed to toys since babyhood. Some buns have just been stuck in a cage with no enrichment, until they came to the rescue/shelter. They have no idea what toys even are. You might have to teach him by playing with him.

He sounds normal to me. You could try different types of toys. If he isn’t interested in chewing, he might enjoy tossing things.
