I’m back again, lol. My cinnimon had a digging problem when she was a baby but stopped around 1 year. Now she has decided to bring it back. Every time I have her out she goes to dig, always in the same spot. I have tried to block off the spot but she has gotten though it every time. When I get her out of the closet ( where the place she digs is ) she goes right to it. The only time she is out of the closet is when I have the treats in my hand. I know she isn’t eating the carpet so I am not concerned about that, but rather the hole in my parents’ new carpet. My other bunny Ollie has also just started this but in a different place… the carpet doesn’t have a hole but can be pulled up super easily. He also does eat the carpet, guess that’s a positive, lmao. I am going to try and put pictures on here. Thanks in advance.

I recommend blocking it off and putting something in it’s place around/attached to the barricade to let out that energy.

My Fable is a big chewer and effective at it, so I’ve done a lot of cheap toys for diggers and chewers. You can find them on my Reddit profile “Posts” here: https://www.reddit.com/u/WickandFable

I recommend the fleece digging corner and cat scratchers.

Can you put a heavy ceramic tile over the problem area? That worked for me. I got the largest one I could from the hardware store and it was too big for them to move, and my bun gave up on that area.

I have not tried the fleece digging corner but I would be worried about it because my other bunny Ollie eats fleece like its banana. They have a normal cat scratcher and a spaceship cat scratcher but still prefer carpet. I can’t block it because I have a bin that goes there but they fit behind the bin (the bin can’t go anywhere else unfortunately). I will try the ceramic tile, the only problem I see with that it might tip the bin, but crossing my fingers it works. Thanks.

You may even be able to line the whole closet floor with tiles, that could provide a nice flat surface for the bin hopefully would make them give up!
