In addition the checking about actual permission, you would need to make sure that both rabbits are taken in a secure way. Also, “going out” can be generally one-dimensional for humans (i.e. we either like it or not a lot of times), but for rabbits, each environment brings different smells, sounds, and unknowns, so if you have concerns about anxiety, I want to be transparent that bringing them with you may be a source of anxiety in seeing how they react, attracting people to you, and how to care/manage them while out in public (ex. they start pooping, peeing, getting rowdy in the carrier, etc.).
I’m unsure how busy your local target is, but perhaps you can try a small store to get a feel for it, if you’ve never done something like this before.
