Who’d have believed it? I wouldn’t have, so I had to take a picture really sneakily… It’s Owen’s 5th day here, and he’s laying on my lap already!
He’s still exploring his territory and his escape routes. Part of that is jumping onto the sofa and running across my lap to the other side of the sofa 😆
Today I was sitting with a blanket, and he sat down on my leg to inspect this new situation. I carefully started to pet him because he was sitting still for a couple of seconds. He liked it so much that he sat down, laid down, and laid there purring for 5 minutes straight!

@dorian: yes, our bridge bunny Breintje was like that too: he loved to be petted and would snuggle up for hours, laying against my leg on the sofa deep into the night. It was my biggest wish to have him in my lap for once.
The strange thing was that in his last week he suddenly became a lap rabbit. He showed no signs of illness, so I didn’t worry and just abandoned all my chores to sit there with him for hours. We were really enjoying ourselves together. The vet said that it’s very rare that rabbits get more cuddly if they feel ill. He must have had a lot of trust in me, our little sofa snuggler… <3
Update: I was able to pet Molly today!! Our shy little girl who does nothing but running and binkying… She sat down on the little crate next to the sofa. I moved closer to her and offered her a couple of nibbles of rusk. She’s mad for gluten-free rusk 🙂
I kept my left hand close to her and took the rusk away with my other hand. She flopped, planting her butt straight on my left hand. I had to sit really still for 2 minutes XD After that she rolled upright and started to loaf. I could pet her for several minutes ^_^

Hello everyone. Such cute fluffs! So lucky that owen is a little lap bunny! Glenn will snuggle into my leg or even chest when I’m laying down for ages but will never get on my lap 😂.
I have finally found a way to add photos into posts! Yay!
Here are my two lionheads on a bonding date having a little snuggle. Glenn (black) and recent adoptee Bella (white/tricolour).
