Hi! I have an about 11 week old rabbit name Miffy who I’ve just adopted a few weeks ago! They love to run around and explore the living room of my house, which I give them free range over.

However, whenever I give my bunny toys, they do not play with them. They might lick or bite them for a few minutes, but then become uninterested.

They also do not particularly love or hate being pet, which I find strange because I noticed other rabbits love to be pet and will sit for a long period of time being pet or groomed. Whenever I try to pet or groom Miffy, they won’t sit still and would rather run around.

Are they just playful or is there an issue? Does my bunny not like me that much?

If your bunny is only 11 weeks old and you only got a few weeks ago it will definitely take more time to develop a bond with you. In my opinion at 1 year old a bunny would be 7-10 years old in human years. Essentially at 11 weeks your bunny is around 1-2 in human years (just my opinion) so is super active like a toddler and has a very short attention span. It will take a bit more time before it settles down for petting. At least that’s was how it was with my bunny. He’s currently 10 months and has learned to like being pet but it did take a while. He began to really enjoy the process at around 4 months. Be patient, it will happen eventually!

I agree with Moonshadow. Baby buns are a lot like puppies. They have a very short attention span and little patience for cuddles and toys. My bun who turns 6 months tomorrow only last week decided to really relax next to the human and be pet for more than a few seconds.
