        Hello!

I am currently struggling with the decision whether to keep my bunnies or not. I have had them for about 2 years, and it’s so sad to think of giving them away, although at the same time, i have been falling behind in their care. Sometimes life gets ahead of me, and I leave their litter box dirty for multiple days or I let their nails grow very long. I am a very athletic and busy teenager, and i feel bad letting them live in such bad conditions. I would really appreciate some guidance on this, or words from someone who has gone through this.

        Thank you!

I don’t think there is any shame in rehoming if you realize you aren’t able to provide good care anymore, so long as you make sure they go to a good home. Are there any rescue organizations in your area that might be able to assist you?

There are some resources and tips for safe rehoming here: https://wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Rehoming_your_rabbit

It is important to ask for a rehoming fee to make sure they don’t become snake food, and to make sure they won’t end up in a similar situation where they aren’t being cared for properly.
