my bunny Fluffy 1year old when we got him from RSPCA 1 month ago ,  he was popping well and eating hay a lot.

Recently I found he only likes eating grass, veggies from our garden. He always follows me or waiting beside the glass door which leads to the garden. He has good appetite for fresh greens but not hay. Still eat hay though but not much.

        he is definitely not stressed.
Can anyone gives me advice why his poops are so dry and small and dark in colour? Thanks

The poop is small and dark because he doesnt eat hay. Hay makes poop big and lighter in color.

You could perhaps try getting him some new type of hay, like orchard. And let him have a little less other food for supper so he is hungry enough to eat his hay during the night? If rabbits get to choose, about 98% of them wont choose hay over pellets and fresh greens/grass.

Another cause of refusal to eat hay is a dental problem. Rabbits teeth grow all the time and they can grow unevenly, esp if the bun doesnt eat hay. You cant see the molars of a rabbit without an otoscope. Id assume the shelter had them checked before adopting him out though.

            Thanks Bam for your reply.
It seems that my bun has dental problems, he eats veggies very slowly compared to before. Will take him to the vet.

            thanks very much .

I agree, a dental problem is definitely a possibility and worth checking into.
