        Hello again everyone,

I wanted to ask a question because I’m alittle worried about my bunnies. Is there a reason why they are popping big all of a sudden and is there anything I should do about it?

Hmmm, was it just 1 big one or a mixture of large and small? Which size is more normal? If you break one up does it seem crumbly or wet? Do they have a lot of hair in them? (sorry for all the questions!)

Sometimes a random big poop can happen during molting, or when two poops get stuck together on their way out.

Also in general, if you notice anything weird with poop, encouraging them to eat more hay and drink more water is usually the first step.

Thank you so much for the reply and tips, and it’s alright lol. It’s was a mixture of large and small, I broke one up and it seems to be dry and crumbly. And no they don’t have any hair in them.

Poop sizes can vary throughout the day. If you’re finding big and small mixed in the litter box, they are probably different “deposits”. This isn’t to say an odd one doesn’t get mixed in with an otherwise uniform batch of poops every now and then.

I notice different hay batches can cause different poop sizes (ex. rougher, more stems 1st cut always equals bigger poops for Dorian), so that’s something to consider too.
