  My bunnies Ollie and cinnimon have been kinda bonded for about 1 week and a half. I do pre bonded and still doing. They are in a c&c cage which has a divider. I bond them mostly in the cage with the divider out now. Before I did bathtub then closet then bathtub again, went to closet then exercise and pen and my sisters room which they haven’t been in before. The cage was built for this so it was a space they haven’t been in before. When I have them out in the cage cinnimon runs and hides in a hideout. She will come out and ask to be groomed Ollie grooms her and then stops, cinnimon asks again Ollie doesn’t, cinnimon asks again, and Ollie nips her but not meanly. She will also come out ever one in a while when she is feeling brave. They are both spayed/neutered. Ollie is 8 months old and cinnimon is 2 years. They are both dwarf bunnies. I really want them bonded. It would be great for them because cinnimon craves attention and company all the time. Thanks in advance

  They range between 20 minutes to 2 hours. Things have been progressing but now we are stuck where we are.

  I think at this point it would help to stick to one area (the most neutral spot where they have done the best) and start increasing the length of sessions. See if you can get up to 4-6 hours without scuffles. Once they are doing well in longer sessions in neutral, you can try for a really long session, like a full 6-8 hours. If that goes well, the next step is usually an overnight in neutral, or some people like to marathon bond to fully “cement” the bond (which involves 24/7 supervision until they are fully bonded and have been happily together for 48 hours with no aggression.

  The spot they do they best in is actully not neutral… we found this out by mistake when I had Cinnimon out and Ollie dragged his hideout to the side of his c age and jumped out ( He can’t do that anymore). Should I still do it there?

  I think it would be OK as long as they are doing well in it! If things start to get bad in the longer sessions though, I would move to a fully neutral spot for longer sessions. I’ve noticed with some of my pairs the buns would do great for a while in less neutral space, and then at some point they would get aggressive (but that wouldn’t happen in the fully neutral spot).

  I set them up in a ex pen last evening and my plan was to keep them in there until there was a scuffle. There was no scuffles surprisingly! It lasted the whole night and is still going… they are bonded! They are grooming, cuddling, everything!!!
