Rabbit ate lots of fleece please help

  I have fleece in my rabbits cage for the floor and when I went to clean it tonight I saw a giant hole in it and a ton of little holes. I know he ate them because there wasn’t any pieces of fleece in his cage. He is eating less hay but still eating it same goes for treats and pellets. Please help I am worried.

  If he is eating, that’s a really good sign. I would keep monitoring and if you notice any health behaviors decline (eating, energy, poop, general body language), you may want to go to a vet (rabbit-experienced and exotic, if possible). Keep pushing hay and water. Perhaps refresh his hay if you haven’t recently. Also, getting him to move around a bit can help get the gut moving generally.

  Okay. I put fresh hay in his cage everyday, and have a rabbit experienced vet near me. I woke up this morning and saw that he drank a ton of water like eat more than he normally does is this good or bad?

  That’s good. I’ve read that if a gastric distress were to happen, it’d show signs within 6 hrs due to how fast rabbit digestion is. I’d say he’s likely fine at this point unless you notice anything unusual.

  Some bunnies seem to have stomachs of steel. Still… it’s not good for them to eat non-food items. If your bunny is actually eating the fleece, you should take it away.

  I’m glad he seems to be OK. If he still isn’t eating normally though I would have the vet check him out.
  
  Some rabbits just can’t have fabric in their pens. Grass or paper mats are a safe option.

  He is all good thankfully, he had me really worried. My other rabbit cinnimon has a steel stomach, but I didn’t know if he would because he is my new bunny. My other bunny cinnimon has eat carpet, curtains, beads, beds, and more. She jumps up on my bed to get them, there is no stopping her is seems. Thanks for your guys help.
