So, I could be just overly worried. But my buns isn’t as active as before and I’m starting to worry. This only happened recently.
He does jump around and does binkies, he does flop, he does show behaviours of a happy rabbit.

He is also eating fine, just restocked his hay because he finished it. Water intake is normal. But he’s just not as active as before.

And like I said it only happened recently so I will have to keep monitoring him. Anyone have any idea as to why my buns is less active? I’m really really worried for him :/

Is it hot where you are? I think a lot of bunnies are feeling sluggish right now just because of the heat. Otherwise, the slowdown could be due to age. Is he fairly young? Young bunnies tend to become a bit less active as they transition into adulthood.

Yes, it is hot where I’m from. He’s turning 4 years this year. That’s probably true since for the past few days it has been raining more often. And I can see him gradually becoming more active. Can I know what’re some changes that is noticed when the transition to adulthood happens? Thanks so much for your help!

4 years is well into adulthood actually. It may be heat related — with rain comes humidity, and humid heat is not very fun at all… for any animal species! It’s great that you’re seeing him be more active. Rabbits don’t regulate temperature the same way humans do, and they literally are always wearing a fur coat, so it’s important to notice if things are getting a bit hotter to offer your rabbit some measures to cool down, including putting ice cubes in water, leaving a frozen waterbottle/icepacks out to lay near, ensuring there is shade in the room, grooming excess fur off, etc.. There are cooling tips in the RABBIT INFO section of this website.
