Hi! I just noticed the fur under one of my buns eyes is pretty wet. It doesn’t appear to be red and there are no apparent signs of injury. Since he was fine over an hour ago, I’m assuming he maybe just got something in his eye? Maybe hay poked him? I know sometimes i get something in my eye and it tears but is ultimately fine — is that the same here? I guess my ultimate question is whether this an immediate cause for concern or should if I keep an eye on it and see if it clears tomorrow? Oh and do I give pain meds just in case?

I don’t think it’s an immediate concern and monitoring is fine. If there was blood or signs that it is immediately impairing your rabbit, such as lethargy, no appetite, etc., then it is more of an immediate concern.

Thank you! His eye doesn’t seem to be actively watering today, but I will keep an eye on it. Must’ve just been irritated. After all these years of having a bunny I’m still a nervous wreck when something happens to him. Doesnt bode well for my future children!
