        Hi!
I’m looking for cheap flooring for my bun, he is free roamed but I live in an apartment and he loves to chew and rip up the carpet 🙁 I was wondering if anyone knew where to get some cheap flooring to cover my carpet to prevent him from chewing it?
I’ve heard of people using vinyl flooring or horse stall mats/utility mats but I can’t find where to buy one or a couple that covers a large area and are affordable, any ideas?
        Thank you!!

I’ve ordered vinyl flooring from home depot, they can cut you pieces by sq ft. I’ve noticed if my buns have access to the edges they will chew them though.

That might not be as practical for covering your whole floor though. For my carpet chewers, I’ve had the best luck with putting heavy ceramic tiles (the biggest ones I can find) over the hot spots, as they seem to always get interested in certain areas (like corners). Then I provide lots of things they are allowed to chew on: seagrass or paper mats, cardboard cat scratchers, and palm plates seem especially good for my buns. Phone books (if you can find one) are also good for that instinct to shred!

I supply plenty of large cat scratchers and other toys scattered about to hopefully redirect the carpet chewing energy.
