So my friend has a Netherland dwarf rabbit, and it seems like he has a yellow crust around his nose and we’re not sure what it is. We book an appointment for a vet but still haven’t gotten a confirmation date.

Is the yellow “crust” hard and clumpy yellow stained fur under the nose? If so, then your bunny may have a URI. It probably isn’t an emergency, but you will want your bunny seen by a vet as soon as you can.

Please keep in mind that rabbits can’t breathe through their mouth so you need to keep it’s nostrils clean until you get can the issue treated.

Pinkiemarie makes a very good point. You can wipe the bun’s nose with a compress dipped in saline.
