Is catnip spray okay for bunnies? like if you just spray a little on a toy. Would it work on them to make them more energetic/playful? Is it harmful for them or no?

It’s made of catnip oil and distilled water.

From what I’ve read, catnip is safe for rabbits to have.

I’m not sure if it would make her/him more playful, as I never gave any to my rabbit haha

I’ve also heard that most rabbits tend to not like it (it has a strong scent), but if it works for your bun, that’s great! 😉

The plant is pretty much harmless to them as it’s in the mint family which the generally tolerate. I would not recommend the spray especially since that may have preservatives and such that could not be good for your bun. Also they won’t get a mild high from it like a cat would, so there is no point. I just don’t think they have the right neurotransmitters to react to nepetalactone in the catnip to get the high that cats do.

Yep, bunnies are not affected by catnip so a catnip spray would be pointless in that regard. The herbal scent may encourage them to chew on something. However, I agree with Prince Dorian that catnip oil may not be a good idea since rabbits can be sensitive to (and even harmed by) essential oils. I guess it would depend on whether or not the oil contained a lot of phenols. Dried catnip would probably be safer.
