Recently I’ve noticed that Timothy has been having small hiccups in the afternoon/evening. Just now I walked into his room, he was napping and when I sat down, he woke up and sat by my feet. He looked like he was about to sleep again but then he started to have (I think) hiccups. I pet his forehead a bit and now he’s grooming himself. I’ve been noticing them for the past week or so, only for about a minute or two and then he’s back to normal. I googled a bit and it seems normal, other people have said that in their experience it went away after a few weeks.

Other than that, he’s been acting normal.. constantly eating pooping drinking etc. I guess as a fairly new bunny mom I get worried about everything so I just want to confirm or see if I should take him to the vet. I don’t have a video but it looks very similar to this youtube vid I was looking at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J8gflKnWiY

It isn’t uncommon for young buns to have hiccups. The same goes for puppy dogs. I dont know why, though. It usually goes away as the bun or puppy grows up. It’s not a sign of anything bad.

I wouldn’t worry too much about hiccups. They are common, especially in young bunnies.
