One of my 3 month old bunnies had some brown stains on one of his towels and some on his tushie, but they’ve both been eating normal, no big changes, any possible causes? the stains were flat and round-ish shapes, i can try to attach a picture later, and he’s still using the litterbox, having some normal poop, and I worry he might become dehydrated, he also doesn’t seem to be in pain or hiding he’s still playing, eating and lets me hold him, and were calling the vet asap so hopefully we can get an appointment for tomorrow.

True diarrhea is an emergency, especially in a young bunny. With very young bunnies often the culprit is coccidea, a parasite. Is the poop very liquid and watery, like a wet splat? Or more just soft and squishy. What is his diet like?

But, if he’s having normal poops too, it might be extra cecotropes that got smushed.

it’s hard to describe how it looks but its medium splotches of brown-ish and is soaked up by the towel, there was some more so i changed the towel and will be checking pretty often, and his diet is orchard grass hay, timothy hay pellets and water, he’s too young for any veggies or treats, i did used to worry when he was about 10 -11 weeks old i noticed his side was a little bulged out, kind of like a lump, we just assumed it was because of his splayed leg and don’t really see it too much anymore, but i think it would have affected him a bit earlier, i’m just glad he’s acting normal and doesn’t really have any signs of pain, were going to take him to a bunny savvy vet tomorrow and see what happens, ty for the help ! i tried to attach an image but it wont let me ?

I think it’s good you will take him to the vet to see what’s going on. There are still some issues with image upload since the site update, but for many people it seems to work if you add the photo to your profile, and then you can select it from your media library in order to add it to your post.

Hmmm, I think it could be either, but I’m leaning towards mushy cecotropes… it’s hard to tell from the pic though.

I ditto DanaNM as they look like Mushy cecotrope stains, but let us know what your vet says.
