        Hello

I’m still having ongoing issues with my rabbit.

She is very activa and alert. Is no longer experiencing the bloating. She has a great appetite but she’s pooing clear water. It’s definitely from her bum as sometimes it’s brown and it also keeps making a her droppings wet on the outside.

It doesn’t smell like much and it’s usually accompanied by mucus.

We have discovered damp and have moved the room around and since the. She’s stopped drinking on top of passing lots of fluid. I would be so grateful for any suggestions.

We are still waiting for her fecal test results to come back.

        Thanks for all you’re help

        Jade

When my bun not very long ago had something similar, mucusy poop and brownish color water from his anus, he got 5 days of metronidazole (Flagyl). This took care of the problem.

This is something to discuss with your vet, because its absolutely not good if a bun loses fluids via the feces. Metronidazole is an antibiotic, and you need a vet to prescribe it.

              Hi Bam

Thanks so much for your reply. I feel so reassured that your rabbit recovered.

I hope that they find the culprit in the fecal exam and hopefully it can be treated with antibiotics too.

Glad you’re little one is OK now, it’s not a nice experience for them.

My rabbit is on subqs while we wait.

              Thanks again

              Jade

I’m glad she’s on sub q fluids! That would explain why she won’t drink.

I looked up when my bun had his tummy trouble, he was started on Flagyl on December 3 2020, so he’s been good now almost precisely 2 months.

                Hi Bam

Sorry for my poor communication, she’s been ill for so long I didn’t know where to begin.

We were given the subqs because she stopped drinking and her droppings became very hard. They still are sadly

Thanks again for all your help

                Jade
