I’ve had my rabbit Peter for a few years now (He’s 4, Fixed, and a solo bunny). Recently he has become more and more aggressive about certain spots in the house and when feeding him.  He will grunt and charge at my hand just when I’m placing his food down or If I move any of it. I’m used to him grunting if I move his food but not for just placing it down/giving it to him (that’s new).

Just now he bit me (enough to bleed) because I went to move a piece of paper out from under my desk where he relaxes. Do rabbits normally get more territorial with age? should I just leave it be or is there something I can do to train him to not be food aggressive or to bite me just for cleaning in his area?

Side Note: We have tried bonding him with two other rabbits before but he really seems to enjoy being a solo rabbit and getting all our attention and treats.

Hmm… has anything changed within his environment? New people, pets, sounds, etc? Perhaps he feels he needs to defend his area.

Or, could this be a pain response? Teeth? Joints? Has he been behaving normally otherwise? Does he still eat everything he used to or use the litter box like he used to?

Hmm well my Husband has been moving some things around the house maybe he is worried we will move the desk too?

He is eating and using the litter box normally. He is a bigger rabbit maybe he is having some joint or teeth pain I’ll give him a once over.

I think we have figured out the behavior still not sure what to do about it though. It seems that Peter likes to pick items he likes to decorate his sleeping spots and even if it seems like a piece of trash he gets angry if you take it away or touch it.
