        Howdy y’all!

So, in my post, “Do I REALLY Need To Spay?” I decided I would look into a good rabbit vet for blood work, and then decide from there wether or not to spay my rabbit, Jumping Jack.

But I don’t know where to take her. So anybody who knows about good rabbit vets in Montana (and maybe even Idaho or Wyoming, preferably within 4 hours of the Gallatin Valley), please post here. And please don’t post any links, I’ve looked online. I want opinions from real people.

        Thanks!

I’m not sure how many active members will have enough personal knowledge to respond. I know you said no links, but there is Bozeman Rabbit Resource’s website. I’m sure you found it already through Google. They do list a couple of vet clinics.

I joined some NY rabbit groups on Facebook and was able to meet other owners. They told me their vet recommendations and experiences. Maybe you could try that? Or you could try asking rabbit rescues in your area for recommendations.

Obviously I don’t have personal experience with vets in the area (I’m in Australia! ) but I have, over the years, learnt where to look for recommendations from owners.

If you havent already, I suggest you research Dr Daniel Foreman  at Spring Creek Animal Hospital in Jackson, Wy. He was recommended on an old email list of bunny owners. I looked up the clinic and he’s still listed as practicing and the bonus is he has an interest in exotic pets which is the group rabbits fall under. 🙂

I’d also reach out fo the folks at Animal Wonders org in Missoula, MT. They have a wide variety of animals in their care & would be certain to know of exotic vets. I do know they have some rabbits also -some adorable little Netherland dwarfs.
