        Hi everyone

So bunny is not nterested whatsoever in any of the wooden toys we have bought for him (nor in any of the furniture that is made out of wood fortunately!). Thing is that he goes boinkers for anything that is made out plastic/rubber – my yoga mats, the handles of his brushes, any phone cover he can get hold to, my pressure pont ball – and I was wondering if there is any safe toy  we can give him that is made out of plastic.  I know chances of such toys existing are slim but if you know of anything that could be a good substitute for rubbery things that would be great too!

        Thanks in advance

Bun Jovi also seems to have a taste for rubber, I have to be sure to keep my rubber broom well out of reach!

Baby stacking cups and baby keys are pretty popular with bunnies that like to toss things around.

But it sounds like he wants to chew, just not the woods you’ve tried. You might also try the balsa wood chew toys. The wood is really light and cruchy, and all my bunnies seem to go nuts for them, more so than any other wood toy. The freshness of wood chews also matters. Mine really like the fresh willow stuff but if it’s old (like from the pet store) they aren’t too interested. If you have willow or apple trees in your area, I bet he would go for those!

Another DYI toy depending on what’s in your area are fallen dried palm fronds. My bunnies really like nibbling on the leafy parts and the woody parts too!

Hard plastic baby keys or stacking cups are considered safe. Bite marks can accumulate on the surface, but it’s very difficult for them to actually bite pieces off.
