We’ve gone a few weeks now without many problems. Occasional sneeze here and there, occasional bit of runny nose. Then days of no sneezes, dry nose, no problems. Two days ago she had her first sneezing fit in weeks. Blew thick white snot out of both nostrils and over her face. Yesterday not even the tiniest sneeze or sniffle. This morning while opening presents she had a small sneezing fit and dripped  out thick runny mucous from one nostril. Throughout the day she has been doing light sneezes, no more discharge.

I thought we had this licked. There is absolutely nothing else in the house I can change. We now have hepa filters, air cleaners, changed out two area rugs and treated air ducts for mold. I’ve run her pellets through a sieve to remove dust and shaken out her hay. I’m vacuuming every other day and dust mopping floors.

Definitely had improvement for a few weeks.

I’ve ordered a nebulizer and it should be here Monday. Also some saline for in it and a  colloquial silver vet respiratory treatment that I’ve seen some people have used in nebulizer successfully. I should probably get some f10 as was suggested too. I should have gotten the nebulizer sooner, I guess. But I thought we were pretty much done with this.

She doesn’t seem to be continuously congested or to be having trouble breathing at all. No wheezing or noise from her nose.

Tomorrow is Saturday and I’m not sure vet will be in, so it may be Monday or Tuesday before she can be seen.

I’m just not sure anymore if this is allergies as he suspected. It made sense after all the antibiotics Charlie had and the discovery of the mold issue in house. It still could be, I guess.

She’s also not eating as many pellets, but is still doing ok with her hay,  treats, forage, greens, etc.  Running, playing, acting normal. Not emptying her pellets is unusual, but her appetite for other things is very good.Shes still eating them, just not devouring them.

I had wondered if maybe she gave herself a sinus infection. She discovered the underside of the couch and ripped a hole in it.  She thought that was the greatest thing ever running around inside the couch. We blocked it off and she made a new opening. my husband built a wooden platform to cover the area underneath she had opened up and she still made another new hole. Finally we cut the dust cover off so she couldn’t keep running around inside. It was dusty and dirty in there and maybe she inhaled it and caused an infection?

We already had a new couch on order anyway that’s to arrive late next month. I’m figuring out ways to block under couch access for that one when it comes.

You can use a wooden board, just those cheap ones you get from the stores. Check out the video, I think it talked about that.
