  I got my new rabbit a week ago and so far everything’s been great, except for the peeing. He’s gotten a lot better at peeing in the litterbox, but sometimes I’ll find pee stains on the rug by my desk or on my sister’s stuffed animals. I took those things out of his room, so those pee problems have been fixed (hopefully). Except earlier today he peed next to my desk again, but I cleaned his room an hour ago so hopefully the odor is gone.
  
  My issue right now is that every time I put something soft in his X pen, like his bed or a blanket, he pees on it. I know that rabbits like to pee on soft things, especially since he’s only 2 months old.. I just feel bad that he doesn’t have anywhere soft to relax when I watch him sleep on the hardwood floor. Should I just remove his bed and blankets and leave his pen as it is? Try again once I get him neutered?
  
  He likes to poop all over the place as well, fingers crossed that his pooping habit also gets better once he’s neutered in a few months.

  Yes, you can remove the soft things. Many bunnies seem to prefer a hard floor to lay on anyway.

  Is it normal for him to be peeing so much as well? A few hours ago, I was doing schoolwork while he was roaming the room, and I looked up to see that he peed against the door, against a box, and inside his carrier. I cleaned his litterbox 15 minutes ago and he already peed in it twice.
  
  For the past few days I’ve been cleaning his litterbox twice a day because I didn’t think he should be eating (and sometimes sleeping) on top of wet bedding & pee pads. Is that normal? When I ask my cousin and her friends, they only clean their litterboxes once a day or even every 2-3 days. Their bunnies are around the same age (2 months) and my cousin even has his brother. Seems like they’re not peeing as much as my boy, lol..

  No, I don’t think it’s normal for rabbits to be peeing so much, but how frequently they pee depends a lot on the bun. As long as everything else is normal, don’t worry too much about it. And yes, if you want to, you can remove the soft things. If you really feel like he needs something soft, then maybe you could try soft bedding like CareFresh. Obviously he won’t be able to lay in it but it could encourage him to use the litter box.

  Is he peeing “normal” amounts of pee in these locations? Or is it small amounts?

  I googled a bit about the difference between spraying and just peeing outside the litterbox. I’m not sure when rabbits start spraying (is it once they reach sexual maturity around 3-6 months?), but when he pees next to my desk, it’s usually in smaller amounts against the wall. Then there are the normal pee puddles where he misses the litterbox..

  If it’s up on the walls it sound like spraying to me.

  Yes, the “smaller amounts against the wall” sounds like spraying to me. And, believe me, they can start spraying at a pretty young age.

  Hi! I had this same issue with my little bun she’s now almost 3 months old! What helped me was I got her a jumbo size cat litter box, filled it with a layer of carefresh pet bedding and then placed some hay on top! She immediately jumped right in and hasn’t had an accident since ( it’s been a week and a half )

  My Bernard has the same problem with peeing on any soft thing I gave her. I recommend getting a grass mat. Bernard can’t have beds anymore but she loves sleeping on her grass mat! And if he doesn’t like it at first, like Bernard, you could try hiding a few pellets in it so he associates it with food 😁
