I hope this is in the right forum. Anyway are Ware Critter Pops for small animals good for rabbits? My older sister got a package for Blosdom and Thumper because she liked the name “Critter Pops” and I took a look at the back and it gives me no information which makes me suspicious, more so because of the bright colors, texture, and because I haven’t heard anything about them. I saw in some YouTube videos that hamsters chewed on them (or something VERY similar) but no one said what they were.

The main ingredients are starch and sugar, which should be very limited in a rabbit’s diet as they can upset the balance of gut flora.

Hamsters and other rodents have very different diets from rabbits and can handle a lot more sugars and starches.

I imagine if you break them up and use a small piece as a training treat it wouldn’t harm the bun (unless they have a very sensitive tummy), but they are certainly “junk food”.

Personally I would prob toss them in favor of a healthier treat (like fragrant herbs, a rolled oat, or a very small piece of fruit or carrot).
