hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well 🙂 my boyfriend got my bun these treats from the pet store and i’m not sure if they’re bunny safe. they’re called vitakraft slims with carrots, i’ll attach a link as well. it was so sweet of him to buy something for her i would hate if it’s unsafe for her but i would never want to give her something that’s really bad for her. i know most pet store treats aren’t usually healthy for buns but maybe this one is different?

        thank you in advance 💘💖

Hmm I think I found what you’re talking about and with a quick read of the ingredients I didn’t see anything that’s BAD for them per say but hey aren’t the greatest. For treats I recommend small slices of fruit or of non-leafy veggies. A lot of the heavily processed treats are hard on their tummies and full of unnecessary fillers/sugars.

Agreed. They are what I would call “junk food”. One box won’t hurt her (if given in small amounts), but they certainly aren’t healthy. I would let her finish those and then move on to healthier treat options. 🙂

I too agree. It was very sweet of your boyfriend to buy treats for your bun though! They are typical junk food for buns, so use only as a rare treat, and only a little bit each time.

I read the ingredients and saw that it had wheat flour, corn flour, and dehulled soybean meal, so I wouldn’t recommend it. One or two pieces a day shouldn’t be poisonous, but it’s definitely not good for them.
